Fækkun á hrossum

Við höfum ákveðið að fækka hrossum á Gerðum og bjóðum því mjög hagstæð verð á hrossum til sölu. Hérna má sjá sýnishorn af hrossunum.

Hrossin eru seld með því skilyrði að þau eru greidd við afhendingu, þ.e við tökum engin hross í uppeldi eða höfum þau lengur.

We are drastically reducing our herd and are therefor putting all our sale horses on lower prices !

The horses are paid for and are picked up at the same time, no horses can be kept at the farm for buyers .

2010 Foals

Took new photos today of some of the geldings and youngsters.
Foal photos will come later.

I will be on vacation for 14 days starting tomorrow and will be unreachable at this time.

Here are a few photos of the day.

Ólga frá Gerðum

This one year old mare was sold last autumn, but has yet to be picked up by her owner.
She is the daughter of Ófeig frá Gerðum and Reykur frá Ragnheiðarstöðum.
A real looker!!

Svala frá Gerðum

This is Svala frá Gerðum. 1 year old mare by the lovely Snót frá Gerðum and the 1.price stallion Geisli frá Svanavatni.
She is growing and is promising.

Fróði og Gríður frá Gerðum

Fróði and Griður are both owned by the Swedish Lena. They are half brothers, both sired by Reykur frá Ragnheiðarstöðum.
Fróði is a silver dapple pinto, dam Flóra frá Hvammi II .
Griður is black with much mane, dam Sóley frá Gerðum.

Embla daughter from '10 - Sæla frá Gerðum - Birta daughter '10

Here is another offspring of Reykur frá Ragnheiðarstöðum. This is a palamino mare, dam is the beautiful Birta frá Sælukoti.
She is born late of summer 2010 and is smaller than her other sibling. Haven't had a new palomino for a long time :)
Also behind her you can see the chestnut mare is her half sister, daughter of Reykur and Embla frá Gerðum. With them on the photo is Sæla frá Gerðum.

Here is a photo of Sæla frá Gerðum and the yearling from Birta.
These two are both daughters of Birta and stick together!

Máni-Þrymur

Their brother from the same mother Máni-Þrymur was sold today. He was sold with mixed feelings, he was the first horse I bred and didn't get the time he needed with us.
He was sold to a really nice couple that have their own piece of land so he is in good hands :)
